The Rubin Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, with an apolitical character and it is active since 2001. Its main goal is to promote democratic values, pluralism, ethnic tolerance and multiculturalism.
The main activities are related to arts – organization of exhibitions (painting, graphics, sculpture, photography etc), performances, workshops, happenings, film-projections, musical soirees, book releases, literary debates – but during the past three years the Foundation has also developed several projects aiming towards the professional training domain. Since 2008 the Rubin Foundation added to the curriculum various artistic entrepreneurship activities.
The activities we carry are promoting the young artist in a large extent, without being exclusive. Rubin Foundation affirms the supremacy of esthetic value opposed to any other standards.
Objectives:
- To promote democratic values, attitudes and behavior, pluralism, ethnic tolerance and multiculturalism among the citizens and to prepare them in becoming active and accountable citizens.
- To improve and widen the citizens perception and officials regarding the social dimension and role of culture.
- To promote the freedom of thinking and expression as definitive concepts of democratic attitudes, behavior and multiculturalism.
- Our strategy commences with the precise settlement of the place where we unfold our activity. We identify the main opportunities accessible to us and in accordance with our main objectives, we assign the necessary resources to achieve our goals and we plan the course of action.
